KYOTO - November 21, 2006 -- Sophia Cradle Incorporated (Headquarter: Kyoto; CEO: Kazunori Sugiyama), an innovative developer of mobile phone software, today announced to release SophiaCompress( Java )[*1] 4.3. This latest version, implemented with the Eclipse[*2] plug-in, enables a mobile Java application to be compressed from the Eclipse IDE. November 21, 2006, Sophia Cradle Incorporated upgrades its compression tool for mobile Java applications, SophiaCompress( Java ), to version 4.3 enhanced with the Eclipse plug-in.

Eclipse is by far the most widely used Integrated Development Environment in the mobile Java application development industry. Eclipse is used both by foreign developers with MIDP profiles, and also by NTT DoCoMo for development under its DoJa profile. The Eclipse plug-in for SophiaCompress( Java ) enables mobile Java applications to be compressed seamlessly just like any other development task in the Eclipse IDE. This level of product integration will improve development productivity.

New improved compression functions such as "Optimize StackMap", "Delete Unused Interfaces", "Make Methods Inline", etc. increase the compression rate by an average of 1 % compared to the previous version.

The CUI ( Command-line User Interface ) from SophiaCompress( Java ) 4.3 is now available even in the Standard edition.
